You have probably heard it said that “Attitude is everything” well, I came across this video and though I don’t agree with the suggestions in the video, I like the comedy and if you have debt collectors giving you a lot of headache, taking on this attitude towards them may help make your life a little easier.

Most of the time debt collectors threaten people that are already vulnerable. Some times, the best thing you can do for yourself is to catch them off guard by reacting to them in the way they are not used to.

I think there is some advise here on how to deal with debt collectors.

Relax and enjoy!

Here is the transcription of the video:

Praise the lord. Moses here from Christian Motivation, I do believe that you are doing fine. In the last video that I made I made a promise and I said that I would share with you some things, so I just want in this video to share with you one of the things that I promised, and one of the things that I promised to share with you was a verse concerning Joseph where God made him forget his past, and the reason I wanted to do that is I know the last year, 2011, has been really hard on some people.

I’ve been in places where I’ve found people who are out on the streets on tents, under the bridges, I’ve seen tents put out in places some of you would not even imagine living. People have lost their homes, people have lost their jobs, marriages have fallen apart, relationships have fallen apart, just because of what is happening in this country. People are losing hope, it’s almost like people are just hitting the bottom and they don’t seek any way out.

I’m here to just encourage you and let you know that God is still on the throne. God is still in control. The very reason that you are still breathing is an indication that God still has a purpose on your life, and I just want to encourage you that when things get tough, don’t give up hope. Don’t give up hope. There is hope for you.

God is going to come through for you. And, as I said in the last video, we see this in scripture, in many instances, in many examples, where God came through at points where probably people had given up, and they thought that there was no hope for them, and one of the things that I want you to know is when God comes through for you, he will even make you forget your past. He will make you forget the pains that you are going through.

You see, sometimes when we are going through those pains, it almost looks like you will not go through the pain, or you will not go through the situation, or the circumstance, and you think to yourself, even if you were to get to the other side, and things get better, you almost think like there’s no way you can forget, and I’m here to let you know that sometimes even people who have gone through pain and gone through circumstances and get to a life that looks to be better, if they cannot forget their past sometimes their past will hold them back. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, if your past was bad and you cannot forget your past your past will hold you back.

So I just want to share with you two verses that really blessed me, and the way I came upon these verses was really through a friend of mine, I have a pastor friend of mine who one time text me- just a few days ago, probably a few weeks ago, so he text me and asked me what I thought of Genesis Chapter 41, and he was telling me to look at verse 51.

He told me to look at Genesis 41:51, and he was asking what revelation I was getting from it; the funny thing is, the moment I read the verse, I replied to him and I told him, look here, I don’t know what revelation you’re getting out of the verse, but what I know is the verse just shows that there are things that we go through sometimes and we even don’t know how, how to go through them.

But as I was meditating on the verse, the very first time I read it, It’s almost something just leaped on the inside of me, and it was like this verse was speaking aloud to me, and the second verse too, I read verse 51, and it was also speaking something on the inside of me, and I remember texting back and told him, you know what, this verse is blessing me so much, I can see me even give a whole sermon on these two verses. Now, I’m not here to give a whole sermon on these two verses, but I just wanted to read them to you and let you know what God can do.

It says, this is the story of Joseph, I’m sure you know about this story, if you don’t I encourage you to go out in Genesis and read the life of Joseph, it’s really a story that will bless you because I know there is a lot that you can get from there. But in verse 51 it says, “And Joseph called the name of the first born,” let me go back to verse 50, verse 50 says, “And unto Joseph were born two sons, before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah, priest of On, bare unto him. And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house. And the name of the second called he Abraham, for God had caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction,”

You see, Joseph had gone through a lot of trouble, a lot of circumstances in his life, and it looked like even if he was doing the right thing, things were not coming up the right way. It almost looked like he was doing the right thing, but then the right thing was leading him to the wrong destination. You see, in life, sometimes we will look at our lives and it looks like we are doing everything we know to do.

It looks like we have prayed the way we know to pray, it looks like we have worked at our work the way we know to do, to work, we have given ourselves at our bosses our at our businesses or our work, or it may be the ministry, whatever it is, it may be your relationships, sometimes you- it looks like you’ve done everything you know to do right, but the it looks like the things end up giving you the results you didn’t want to get in the first place, and I know that many people who have been working hard paying their mortgage, but then they ended up losing their jobs, they ended up losing their houses, they ended up losing their relationships after all they had invested in those relationships, in those jobs, in their careers, in the businesses, but at the end of the day they ended up losing their jobs, they ended up losing their businesses, they ended up losing their relationships, and you may be at a place in your life where you are wondering where is God.

I believe that Joseph was at that place where he knew he had done every right thing, but it looked like whatever he did did not amount to anything good, it almost looked like everything he did right was only leading to something wrong. But God was not done with him, you see the scripture tells us that even when he was going through all that, God was with him, and I am here to encourage you that God is with you. But here is an interesting thing that I was in these two verses.

When God took Joseph from the prison and set him on the throne, when he had- when Joseph had his first son, he did not name his first son a name that meant that he was fruitful. The first thing that he named- the name that he gave his first son, was a name that said that God had made him forget all the toil and all the trouble and all the challenges that he had gone through. You see, sometimes in life, even after you’ve excelled, even after you’ve gone to the other side of the river, if I may say, after you’ve crossed to the other side, if you have not forgotten the things, the troubles you’ve gone through, it’s very hard for you to enjoy even what God has given to you.

So to Joseph, it was very important that God makes him forget all the pain and all the toil, and I believe that placed a very important role in his future because you remember when his brothers came he was able to forgive them, and sometimes you may read that and you wonder how was he able to forgive his brothers after all that they had done to them.

Here’s the trick, here’s the secret; God had made him forget the past. I believe that God is going to take you to a place in your life where the first thing that he’s going to do, before you even realize the prosperity that he’s bringing in your life, before you realize his goodness, he’s going to make you forget your past. God is going to make you forget your past, and after he has made you forget your past, then he is going to make you fruitful so that you can enjoy the fruit of whatever it is that God is giving to you.

This verse has blessed me a lot; I can do a whole sermon on just these two verses, but I’m here to just encourage you that- don’t give up, God is going to make you forget, I don’t know what you’re going through, I don’t know how bad things have been for you, I don’t know how bad this year has been for you, but I want you to know that God is still on the throne. If you are still breathing, you are a candidate for a miracle, and God is going to do that in your life. He is going to make you forget all the pain, he is going to make you forget all the toil, and then he is going to make you fruitful. Just don’t give up, and keep on hoping. Keep on trusting in him, keep on looking to him, he is going to make it come true in your life.

So, I wanted to encourage you with that, I just wanted to make sure I am true to the promise I made in the last video of sharing these two verses with you, so I encourage you to just keep on lifting up the name of Jesus, keep on looking unto God and he will see you through.

Until next time, I wish you the best in this holiday season, and I want you to keep hoping for a better 2012. God bless you, stay blessed, keep the faith, and go reign in life. Bye bye.

Here is the transcript for the video:

Praise the lord my brothers and sisters, it’s Moses here from Christian Motivation, today is December the 7th, and what I wanted to do is just shoot a quick and simple video as an encouragement to you.

You see, during this time- it’s the season time, especially from Thanksgiving- we kind of put our guards down, we get into the spirit of just eating, and enjoying life, and just partying around, and now thus a very good thing, it’s good for us to just relax and just be happy and just enjoy our families, enjoy the things that we do.

But on the other hand I want to encourage you to just take time, and take inventory of your life, just look at your life; you see where you’ve been and where you want to go. It’s very important that this time we have on us, kind of like free time where maybe some industries it’s a little bit slow- I know some industries where now it’s like they’ve picked up and they’re really working hard, but I’ve come to realize that during this time there are many people that put down their guards, they give up on their goals, not necessarily- not intentionally- but just because they get into that mood of, it’s a holiday season, so they feel like “Ooh, let’s go and party,” so they forget their healthy goals, they forget their relationship goals, they forget their career goals, financial goals, and what on and what have you.

What I want to do today is just encourage you to take inventory of your life, just see where you’ve been and where you are and where you want to go. Just look at your life, and figure out where you- have you been able to accomplish the goals and the things that you wanted to do, or you haven’t been able to, and then find out why haven’t you been able to, or why have you been able to, and just learn from those so you can set yourself up for a better 2012.

One of the things that I did a few months ago is I did a series that talks about the four things that you can do to change the quality of your life. If you’re watching this video from somewhere else other than the website, my website, I encourage you to go to christianmotivation.tv and look for those series. I believe that they are four parts, just talking about four things that you can do to change your life. Those will help you to get you maybe started.

The other thing I want to encourage you to do is to just spend time to be before the lord. Just be still. The bible says, “Be still, and know that I am God,” so I encourage you to just be still and just listen to his voice. During this time there’s a lot of voices that are speaking; it may be our spouses, it may be our children, it may be our radios, our TVs, entertainment, other fun things we go to during this time, and so we are all busy with all these things that are crowding our lives with all the noises that we forget to take some time and just be quiet before the lord, so I just want to encourage you to spend some time, an hour a day, two hours, whatever time you have during the weekend, and just be still and listen to God and listen to his spirit, let him just speak to you and kind catch up with you properly If I may say on how your life should be and where he wants you to go in 2012.

For those of you who haven’t yet realized the purpose that is on your life, this is a very good time where you can just spend time asking the Holy Spirit and God to show you exactly what he has in store for you, the purpose that he has for your life.

I want to remind you that every time you wake up in the morning and realize that you’re still breathing, realize that you still have that breath of life, just remember that there is a purpose on your life, and the purpose is not yet done, so what you do is you just ask God to thank you for the day, and then ask him to reveal the purpose that he has for your life.

So, for those of you who don’t know what the purpose is, this is a good time where you can do that. Probably, when I get an opportunity I w ill share with you some resources, some free resources that I know out there that could help and benefit you in finding out what your purpose is.

For those of you who know what your purpose is, you just want to check in with God and make sure that you are still on the right track. It’s amazing sometimes we’ll start living life, we will know our purpose, and before we know it will we get off track because of something that takes us off track, so you just want to check in every now and then to make sure that you are still on track.

For those of you who’ve had a wonderful year, we thank God for that wonderful year, we expect a better year. For those who have had a tough year, I want to encourage you that god is still on the throne, god is still in control. There is nothing he cannot do, and the very fact that you are still alive is an indication that God has something in store for you. Never ever lose hope in God. Never lose hope in God.

I want to remind you of the story of Joseph. Probably Joseph had hit bottom. You know, he was at one place one of the loved children. He was the most loved child, yet at one point he was thrown into the pit, and then he goes to Pupa’s house, he was lied about, and then he ended up in prison. It almost seemed like he couldn’t go any lower. And then, it was just one day- just one day, he got from being the lowest you could ever go, in prison, to being second in command in the whole country.

So there is nothing that God cannot do. There are many examples in the bible, in the word of God, that show us that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above what you even think, so there is power on the inside of you, God has invested a lot in you, he has given his son Jesus Christ, and he has invested a lot in you. There is nothing, there is totally nothing that he cannot to do take you out of all the troubles you have gone through.

There is- I’ve just been reminded, just as I was sharing this, I’ve been reminded of a scripture, again it’s to do with Joseph, that I’ve read, that I will take- I’ll have an opportunity to share with you and show you how God can take you from bottom, and then he takes you to a place where he will even make you forget your past. I’ll share with you that some other day.

But for now, all I wanted to encourage you in is that- take time, and take inventory of your life. Take time to spend time in the presence of God during this holiday season, so that when 2012 comes around you are ready to go forward in victory.

Again, it’s Moses here from Christian Motivation, encouraging you to stay blessed, to keep the faith, and to reign in light.

At one time or another we have all heard that the rich keep getting richer, while the poorer keep getting poorer. this has caused some people to start the “occupy movement”. Although I really don’t want to get involved in the details of what is happening and I honestly have no idea of the details, I think it is also better that we find out what the people who are getting rich legitimately do.

One of the questions we should ask ourselves is, if the rich keep becoming richer, how do they do it? One of the secrets used by the wealthy to create more wealth is to invest their money wisely. When invested wisely, the principle amount invested will grow more money from the interest accrued. May be money can grow on trees?

The interesting thing is that this form of earning money is not just for the rich folks. It is available to each one of us that is willing to put it to work. You can achieve this by depositing your money into accounts that pay compound interest. Let us look at how compound interest works and how it can benefit you and your finances.

First, let us begin look at how basic interest works.

If you are only earning basic interest on your money, it means that interest is only paid on the original amount deposited into your account. In other words, even when interest is applied and the amount in your account grows, the interest paid to you is only applied on the principal – the amount without the interest, if you only earn simple interest. Although this is one way your money can make money for you, its only making money (interest) on the principal amount.

Simple interest sounds good only to those people who don’t know about the other type of interest. There is another kind of interest known as compound interest.

Compound interest is basically interest that is collected on the original amount you deposited plus the interest that has already been applied to that amount. So, whenever interest is applied, the amount of interest is added to the principal for the next time interest is applied. Unlike basic interest that is applied only to the principal, compound interest is applied to the entire amount in the account. This is also known as “compounding.”

Money put in a compound interest account has the potential of growing more than in other types of accounts because you’re earning interest on a greater amount of money each time the interest is applied or let us say, compounded. This is a very smart way to invest your money and watch it grow and even double.

If you want to find out how long it will take your money to double in a compound interest account, you can find out by applying a very simple calculation. Take the interest rate you’re earning on your money and divide it into 72.

For example, if you’re earning four percent interest, you would divide four into 72 and learn that it will take 18 years to double your money. If your money is in an account that pays six percent compound interest, it would take 12 years to double your money.

These examples illustrate how your money will be compounded on an annual basis. Some financial institutions will compound your interest on a more frequent basis, such as quarterly or monthly. Some even compound it daily.

Putting your money in an account that will earn compound interest is a wealth-generating secret you can’t afford to neglect. There is no easier way to increase your wealth than just letting your money sit there and watching it grow.

Its also important to note that this kind of investing is not a “get rich” strategy of building wealth. It requires patience and discipline. Remember that wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time – Proverbs 13:11 NLT

Do you determine how your day goes or do you let your outer circumstances like work, people and events trigger feelings of discouragement, frustration, emptiness, anger, impatience, etc set the tone of your day?

Other than making life happen, most people let life happen to them. When you let your life to be governed by circumstances and other people, you are not using the power God has made available to you! By relying on the Holy Spirit, you can create the kind of day and life you want to live.

One way of the ways you can influence the outcome of your day is by using imagination or visualization. Before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning, spend a few minutes thinking about the things you would like to experience during the day.

How would you like your workday to go? Which people would you like to meet or spend your time with? What opportunities are you looking for to advance your career, financial situation, relationships, etc? What emotions would you like or do you intend to feel during the day?

You can even take it further by using a journal or notebook to jot these details down! It has been discovered that when we write down stuff, it helps our minds remember the stuff easily. Its like you are writing it on your mind or heart.

Once you have all the details written down, spend a few minutes vividly imagining each scenario in your mind, exactly as you would like it to happen. Pretend you’re watching a movie in your mind, seeing it all play out exactly as you’d like it to be. Most importantly, since emotions are so powerful, allow yourself to emotionally feel as if your desires were actually happening now.

Immerse yourself in emotions of excitement, joy, peace, happiness, love, confidence and gratitude as you enjoy one great experience after another. Use this same process for every experience you’d like to have that day.

By the time you’re finished with this visualization process, you should be feeling fantastic; buzzing with good spirits and high expectations! Now you are ready to start your day, but be alert so you don’t let any events or experiences that you don’t want try to put you down. Keep speaking the promises of God concerning you and confessing that great things are going to happen to you throughout the day, and continue to let yourself feel great about all of the blessings and abundance in your life.

To the best of your ability and by the grace of God, avoid getting entangled in feelings of worry, anxiety, fear, discouragement, frustration, and anger as much as possible because these feelings will interfere with your soul (mind, emotions and will) and may start controlling you, causing you to lose control of how your day turns out.

As often as you can remember, call to mind images of the things you visualized earlier and allow good feelings to flow over you again. confess and believe that wonderful things are happening, even if you don’t see them quite yet. Remember that we walk by faith and not by sight.

Imagination and visualization is not easy in the beginning. Just like any other skill we learn in life, we must practice it on a daily basis and be persistent.

By using the process I have outlined out for you on a daily basis, it will soon become a habit and you will eventually start to notice that good things are starting to happen. You will find yourself being in the “right place at the right time” and generally enjoying greater opportunities and abundance.

To help Abraham see what looked impossible to man, God told him to look at the stars in the sky and sand on the on the sea shore. He was getting him to visualize and imagine what was not seen with the physical eye. What you see on the inside will determine what you will end up seeing on the outside.

Until next time,

Stay blessed & keep the faith!

In the last post, we talked about you how to set our health and fitness goals. I do realize that there are two kinds of people that are reading these posts. Those who are serious about achieving results and those that are just reading and “planning” to start “some day”. For those who are serious, they took action and set goals and are already putting in at least 15 minutes of exercises and watching what they eat, while the others are still in the “planning” stage. Am sure you know exactly what group you fall into.

Today, I want to share with you the two things that keep me motivated.

1. Variety

2. Immediate results

Variety

When I started working out, all I was doing was running. I realized pretty quick that I needed to incorporate a variety of exercises if I was going to keep exercising because there were times I just felt like I did not want to run. So I decided to figure out other ways of exercising. What I did was to incorporate both outdoor and indoor exercises.

So, I went to craigslist and started to look for people who were selling their exercise equipment. I wasn’t looking for bulk equipment. I just wanted equipment that would allow me to do things that interest me and were easy to store. I was able to get me a bicycle, a set of weights, a weight bench with the bar and weights (I later gave the bench and the bar away), a pull up bar and a standing boxing bag. I also went to ebay and bought some new exercising bands. I used craigslist and ebay for a very good reason am sure most of you already know….SAVINGS.

Its amazing the amount of equipment I was able to get for the money. When looking for deals, the idea is to be patient and also know how to negotiate. I realized that most people who sell things on craigslist don’t need them any more and are looking for a way to get rid of them without just throwing them away. The things that I got were as good as new but I literary got them for pennies on the dollar. I would recommend you do the same if you are looking into buying some exercise equipment (or other things).

The other thing that helped and still helps me is free exercise videos. One of the greatest invention of our times is the internet. All I do is go to youtube and look for exercise videos that I can use in my routine. Another really great workout site I love is bodyrock.tv. Between the equipment I had bought and the internet, I was able to mix up my workout routine indoors and outdoors and stay motivated.

The other advantage of using a variety of exercises is, your body does not go into a workout plateau. If you were to do one form of exercise, say, walking or running, your body will soon get used to doing that exercise and adapt to it. This means that you will see results in the first weeks of starting your exercising routines but will soon stop seeing the results. That’s one of the reason people give up working out after a period of time (When they don’t see any more results even when they are still working out). By the way there is a way you can still do the same exercise but still spice it up so you don’t hit that plateau but that will probably be another post.

Immediate results

One of the hardest things to do is to start. When most people think of exercising, they associate it with pain instead of pleasure and so end up dreading exercising. But for those who are able to by pass that “road block” and do the exercises, the immediate results are so motivating. Immediate results also encourage you to think of that first step. Sometimes we get carried away by the big results we forget the small results that add up to the big results we are shooting for.

You remember when I told you am going to commit to at least 15 minutes? That 15 minutes commitment is really to help me overcome the “no time” excuse. There are times I just have 15 minutes, but for the most part, when I start exercising, I end up doing more than the 15 minutes. Here are some of the immediate results you will experience when you start working out. You will:

Feel better

Be more alert

Get rid of stress

Be more confident of yourself

Feel relaxed

Be motivated to keep working towards a better health and fitness lifestyle

I have to go now. I hope this will help you stay motivated and focused.

By the way, am not promising but if I get a chance, I will make a brief video of me shirtless so that you can see how I look now and then compare how I will look at the end of the year. The reason I want to do this is because some people may be motivated by first seeing the results I get and may be join in.

Do you think its a good idea to do this? Let me know if I should or shouldn’t. Just leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Until next time,

Stay blessed, keep the faith & reign in life!

Praise the Lord, it’s Moses again here from ChristianMotivation.com. I hope you enjoyed the last video and you took time to study the scripture and the word of God and to meditate on the word and let the holy spirit speak to you. This is going to be the last video I’m doing in this series about spirt, soul, and body. I do hope that you’ll be able to look at your life differently and this will be a foundation as you read the word of God or as you relate to God and to people that you will realize how you relate and why you relate in certain ways, and you’ll be able to differentiate when the Bible talks about you what it’s talking about and how you can be able to live out what the Bible says about you.

Today, the last part we are talking about definitely is the body. We’ve talked about the spirit, we’ve talked about the soul, so today we are talking about our body.

Now, it’s very easy because every one of us knows the body. At least when you look at somebody all you see is the body. When you look at me, you’re seeing my body. So it’s not something that is hard to talk about. When God was creating man, it says that he formed man. What he formed was the body. It’s very important to understand that everything that God created – according to God, when he created everything, after he created everything, he said that it was God. So everything that God created was God. It is sin that really disorganized everything and made things evil and what have you – but everything that God created was good. And when you look at your body, when you get to understand your body, you will realize that it is such a wonderful machine. It is amazing the way God has created our bodies.

I have a friend of mine who is doing a class to do with medical things. She’s studying things to do with – like the medicine and everything, but every time she studies about biology and maybe about the skin and the tissue and the cells and the eyes and what have you – she’s so much into you know like medical stuff – but she is always captivated by how the body works and she’s always sharing with me and seeing how big God is.

When you take time to, maybe like to listen to some of the commentaries done on Discovery Health, that channel Discovery Health, or to read about medical stuff, you will come to realize that God really put a lot in us. It’s amazing how – you know the Bible says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. One of the ways to see that is through our body. I mean, people – scientists – are trying to study some of the things in our body that they can’t even come to an understanding. Things to do with DNA, things to do with the way the eye is, the tissue, the cells divide. It’s amazing how God formed our body.

So that alone – just by looking at your body alone – will let you know that God is so powerful and is so wonderful. Now, what I want to say is that how we treat our bodies is also important. I have come to realize that one of the things that is important is you understanding how you treat your body, how you take care of your body, because it’s like a resource that has been committed to you. So how you take care of your body is very, very important. And I think that’s one of the areas that we sometimes neglect. I don’t know if you’ve heard of the saying that some people go to look, they spend most of their health trying to gain wealth, and then at the end of the – of their time – they have to spend all their wealth trying to get the health.

It’s because if you don’t take care of your body, you are misusing one of the most important resources that God has given you. The body is very important because the body is what gives us access to this earth and we have been called to have dominion where? On earth. So if we are to have dominion on earth, one of the ways that we relate to this earth is through our body. And then if – God also realized that he was coming to save us, he had to put on a body to become like man, to come and have, bring back our dominion to us. How did he do us? By wearing a body to become just like a man.

So the way you relate to the earth is through your body. Even the evil spirits – the only way they can really relate to this earth is by using human bodies and using bodies. That’s why you see – spirits have to look for people to get into, they have to inhabit people so that they can be able to also start working, whatever they want to do. That’s why you see the devil uses people to be able to do what he wants to do. And that’s the way we are also here. We have to let the holy spirit use us, use our bodies to reach out unto others.

For example, the Bible says that when somebody’s sick, we can lay our hands on them that they may be healed. Guess what you’re doing – you are using your body to lay your hands on them. The Bible says that blessed are the feet that bring good news. You have to use your feet to go and preach the word of God. How am I communicating to you? Through speaking. I have to use my body to speak to you. You don’t know what’s going on in my spirit, but as I let out what is in my spirit through words, I speak to you.

So I can relate to you. I can love you by touching you or giving you something. Everything I do has – the body has a big part to play in what I – in what I do in ministering and extending the kingdom of god or in just relating with people. So the body too is an important part. Now, when you get to understand, as I said, the difference between spirit, soul, and body, you get to know that these three things are connected to each other. And there’s – so whether you can use them to be able to influence whatever part of your life you want to influence and – because this is the last video I’m doing of this series, I wanted this to be kind of a foundation that you can always use to be able to understand the things that I will be sharing with you.

As I said, most of the things that we need to work on are to do with our body and our soul. So the spirit man has already been done, there’s nothing we can do about it. We just have to work in favor and understand that everything that needs to be done in our spirit has already been done. Where is the work – the work is to be in our soul and in our body and thus we are – most of the videos I’ll be making from here onwards will be mostly to do with how to be able to change yourself and be able to receive the promises of God so that you can live a victorious life. And then when Jesus comes back for us, we will have glorified bodies – we will – even our minds will be new. The Bible says that now we know in part but there is going to come a time where we will know everything.

So I just wanted to give you that foundation so that you can be able to better understand how to realize the things and the promises of God in your life. And so this ends the spirit, soul, and body – most of the videos that I will do will be more of encouraging you and sharing with you things and I will coming from a point of view where I know that now you understand when I’m speaking to you to be able to know which part to use. I’ll be sharing with you things knowing that you already know about spirit, soul, and body.

So until next time, I just want to say that stay blessed and keep the faith. Bye bye.

This is a transcript of one of the videos I did sometime back on Spirit, Soul & Body. If you prefer watching the video, click here.

Praise the lord, it’s Moses from ChristianMotivation.com, once again, I do hope you took the time to seek the scripture and search out the scripture concerning what we talked about in the last video. Before I start this video, I just want to apologize, because in the last video I mentioned a scripture that I misquoted. I told you the scripture was James, chapter four, verse 17, but actually the scripture is first John, chapter four, verse 17, so please make that correction. It’s not James 4:17, but 1st John 4:17 – that’s the scripture that talks about as Jesus is, so are we in this world.

Today I just want to continue with what we were talking about. In the last video, I just shared with you that we are brand-new in our spirit. That when the Bible talks about us being born again or talks about new creatures – it’s talking about our spirit mind. Remember I’m talking about spirit, soul, and body – this is a foundation that has really blessed me.

So we talked about the spirit man and I said that your spirit is a brand-new spirit, it was sealed off. That is who the real you is and when God looks at you, that’s the part that he looks at. And in your spirit, you are holy. In your spirit, you are perfect. Sin cannot penetrate through to your spirit, your spirit is brand-new, your spirit was recreated, and you are prefect.

Today I just want to talk about the soul because that’s another area that will help you benefit as you read the word of God – you’ll be able to understand how to apply the promises of God in your life.

In Romans chapter 12, verse 2 says and be not conformed to this world but be ye transferred by the renewing of your mind that he may prove what is the good and the acceptable and perfect will of God. The word of God encourages us not to be conformed to this world but to be renewed in our minds. So when we talk about the soul, the soul comprises of the mind, the will, and the emotion. Now this is the area that we relate to most. Most of us, every time we read the word of God or we relate with people – most of the time we are in the soul realm, because that’s where our feelings, our soul, sometimes we wake up in the morning and if you feel like you are discouraged, you tend to think maybe something is wrong with you, maybe it’s the sin you committed the other day – sometimes we let our emotions control us or we think that maybe because I don’t feel good that means God is not with me. Then when you wake up one day and you are feeling great and maybe you spent some time in prayer and now you’re feeling great – you kind of think now God is pleased with me because I – I’ve spent some time in prayer and I’m feeling great, that is an indication that God is with me.

So that’s how we kind of relate. We think that we are working by our emotions. No. The Bible clearly says that the just man, the righteous, walk by faith. You can’t run your life best on your emotions and best on what you think or what people say about you – those are things that are supposed to be changed. So when the Bible talks about our minds being renewed, it’s talking about us looking at ourselves based on the word of God and how God looks at us.

And remember, I just told you that God looks at us as we are in the spirit and in the spirit, we are brand-new, in the spirit we are holy. In the spirit we are perfect. In the spirit, we have everything that God has said about us. How do you know that? You go to the word of God bvuz this is the mirror – the mirror is the – is how you look at yourself and figure out who you are in your spirit. Now what you do – when you start figuring out how you are in your spirit by reading the word of God, you start renewing your mind, you start telling your mind – and that’s why, you see, one of the good ways of renewing your mind is through confessing. You speaking what God speaks about you. You confessing what God says about you. Those are the some of the ways that you are able to renew the mind.

But I want us to understand is that in our soul we have – that’s where the will is, that’s where the emotions are, that’s where the mind is, and the mind, it really plays a big part.

If you’ve heard of the movie the Secret, you listen to what they are saying – do you realize that most of the things that they’re talking about are to do with the mind, they talk about the subconscious mind, they talk about the conscious mind, I mean, there are all these levels of minds that they talk about. I’ve taken some time to read about the mind and try to figure out and the mind is a powerful thing – a very powerful thing.

Now, the mind is what we are supposed to renew. So we are supposed to always go to the word of God, find out who we are, and start telling our mind who we are. We are supposed to transform our mind. That’s the way to transform your life on the outward.

So on the inside, thus in your spirit, you are brand-new, you are holy, you are perfect – now you have to release what’s on the inside to the outside. How do you do that? By renewing your mind. By saying what God says about you and then start working in it and start applying it to yourself – start talking to your mind about it. Most of the things that you do right now, most of the way you look at things, most of the way you release with people – most of the decisions you make are because your mind, whether you know it or not, has been influenced by certain things. Maybe because of the news you listen to, it may be because of the books you read – it may be because of the people you relate with, because of the groups you associate with – there’s something that is always influencing your mind and that’s what makes you who you are at a particular state of your life.

So if you want to change where you are, if you want to change your situation or your circumstance, the way to change is by you changing what you think about – the Bible says as a man thinks, so is he.

So renewing your mind starts with going through the word of God, realizing who you are in the spirit, and then you start working on renewing your mind until you come into what God speaks about you.

It takes time. It takes patience, it takes consistence. But you’ve got to start somewhere. So as I said, I just give you a few things, I share with you these things, just as a way to inspire you, to motivate you, and to encourage you to go out in the scripture and look out in the scripture and see what the Bible says about the things that I’m sharing with you.

So until next time, stay blessed and keep the faith.

Ok, am assuming you are joining me on the journey to achieving our health goals. For many people, health goals are more of a wish than a commitment. We want to make sure we don’t fall in that category of people, so, let us set the foundation right so that we will find this journey easier.

To begin with, we need to take inventory of where we are right now, then decide where we want to be in the future. Let us make the end of 2011 our target goal for now. It’s also important that we don’t fall into the pit fall of just focusing on end of 2011. The ultimate goal is a health lifestyle change.

We are just using end of 2011 as a measuring yard to let us know how we are doing. Also, we will be taking various inventories throughout this period (between now and end of 2011) to see how we are progressing, and making necessary changes.

Taking inventory:

This is the moment of truth where you must take your weight, see what you are eating, look in the mirror to checkout your figure, and find out how you feel. These are the things I focus on for my health goals.

Because we are focusing on lifestyle change and total health, if possible, it would be great if you can take a full health physical and check up. Being healthy is not just about losing weight. You need to know if there is something wrong with you so that you can deal with it. If you find something wrong with your health, don’t be alarmed. There is an answer through Jesus Christ to every problem in life.

I don’t want to complicate my life by trying to do everything the “experts” tell us to do to get in shape. My focus is finding things that I can incorporate into my life to get the results I want. For example, am not into counting calories and stuff like that because, not only don’t I enjoy doing it (tracking the calories to everything I eat), it also takes the fun out of enjoying my food.

Let me share with you a revelation that will help you. Achieving results in anything you do starts in your mind. If your mind doesn’t believe it, understand it, or hates it, you are just wasting your time. It all starts with the mind (or heart).

So we are going to forget all those info-commercials and sales pitches for the “magic pills”, “magic diets”, “magic plans” and “magic exercise machines”. We are going to figure out activities we love to do and things we can incorporate into our lifestyle. Yes we will use the pills, diets, plans and machines if we need and have to but not to get “magic” results.

Setting your goals:

After taking inventory of where you are, you are now ready to dream. Here are some things to think about.

What is your ideal weight?

What kind of figure do you want (what do you want to see in the mirror when you look at yourself)?

How do you want to feel (health wise)?

Dream my sister, my brother, DREAM!

You need to know what you want to achieve. Here is an idea of where I am and what I desire to work on. Hope this can help you make your own goals.

My inventory and goals:

My current weight is 158 lbs. (I have gained 13 lbs since I stopped exercising frequently). My desired weight range is, 140 lbs – 145 lbs.

I have low energy levels – I plan on focusing on energy foods to boost my energy. Regular detoxfying will also help in getting rid of the toxins that may be causing the sluggishness.

Am not very good at eating vegetables (especially raw) and fruits. Am going to increase my vegetable and fruit consumption by making veggie and fruit shakes.

I drink a lot of hot beverages and I drink them with sugar. I need to decrease the amount of sugar I drink, and increase my water consumption, which will help to dilute and flush out the sugar.

Am not so thrilled with my figure. As a matter of fact, it looks like I have gained alot of fat that has covered the muscles I had built. Am going to do weight exercises to build muscles, tone and give definition to my figure. Am not interested in getting ripped. I just want a little muscle definition.

I will work out at least 15 minutes a day for 3–5 days a week. (Note that 15 minutes is the minimum) 15 minutes is to take away any excuse of “no time” or “am so tired”. I have also come to realize that when you begin working out, by the time you get to the 10 minutes, you are “juiced up” and can go for more than you thought you could.

I MUST create time for resting, relaxing and socializing. Am not doing so good in this area because of the nature of my job and schedule.

So those are my health goals. The important thing we need to remember is, to be flexible but committed to them.

I hope this helps you out.

To your health,

Stay blessed, keep the faith and reign in life.
